Bethlehem Kennel’s monastery dog breeding program of AKC Labrador Retrievers and AKC Anatolian Shepherd Dogs is uniquely run by the Norbertine Canonesses of the Bethlehem Priory of St. Joseph. We also have available for sale some East Friesian dairy sheep and Romanov sheep, and dairy cows.

The Norbertine Canonesses of the Bethlehem Priory of St. Joseph are a Roman Catholic community of cloistered religious nuns, located in California's Tehachapi Mountains. It is here, amidst the natural beauty of God’s creation, where we offer the solemn and reverential celebration of the Sacred Liturgy, the prayer of the Church. This prayer overflows from the choir into all of our other works, including our monastery farm and dog breeding program.
